The difference between synthetic leather and genuine leather

1. Genuine leather is the process of removing animal skin and processing it chemically, while synthetic leather (mainly PU and PVC) is made from chemical fiber fabrics through chemical treatment. The difference between the two lies in the difference in the raw materials.
2. Generally, genuine leather can be divided into two layers: the outermost layer is called the top layer leather, also known as leather blue, which has the best texture, tensile strength, and breathability. Then there is the epidermis layer, which has the same surface and bottom. The general method is to polish the surface, then apply a layer of PU resin on the surface, spray paint, and use it.
3. Artificial leather first appeared in ancient times. It is made by rolling and compounding PVC with plasticizers and other additives on cloth. Its advantages are cheap price, rich colors, and numerous patterns, but its disadvantages are easy to harden and become brittle.
4. Artificial leather has an unpleasant odor compared to genuine leather, and it doesn't feel as good to the touch as genuine leather.
